GM & Player Reference Materials

We wanted to share two hopefully helpful GM and player aids/materials.

The first is a Travel Journal that helps to explain travel rules, creates journaling space and presents the Personal Travel Actions in full for players.  This is a helpful resource to have during the travel phase that the GM or players can print out and have on hand.

The second is a GM aid.  In the GM Materials, there are a few different sheets for tracking various aspects of the game:

  • Progress Clocks Sheet - list the name of the clock and what it's trigger is going to be... a round, a turn, on a fail, etc.  Then decide how long the progress clock is going to be and mark it however you'd like.
  • Journey Progress Sheet - A simple column of boxes that allows the GM to mark progress made by the players as they travel and allows the GM room to make notes and keep track of what's happening during the travel phase.
  • Potential vs Established Fiction Sheet - The GM has ideas that pop up while the players are discussing or as the interactions take place with the players, this sheet allows the GM to quickly notate those ideas next to an empty box.  Once those ideas are brought into the game, then the GM can check the box to signify that element is now established fiction.  Once the session is over this sheet becomes a wonderful reference for the GM to help remind themselves about what happened in the game.
  • Creature Damage Track - Somewhat similar to the Progress Clock Sheet, this damage track gives the GM a place to easily track monster damage that's dished out by the players.  Circle or mark that total number of damage boxes the creature has and then as combat takes place, mark down/check off the damage by the players.  Easy and quick reference to see the damage state of a creature/monster/NPC.

With these GM/player references we hope to make approaching and playing the game less taxing and more fun.
